Peter L. Shelton and Lee F. Mindel, FAIA created three top-notch bath designs for Waterworks, a manufacturer from bathtubs to faucets to luxe towels. For their Opus faucet, they even invented a new type of valve that sits below the countertop, thus occupying less space and creating a cleaner line. The egglike .25 bathtub, also for Waterworks, was inspired by the sculptures of Isamu Noguchi. “It envelops the user,” says Mindel. “It embraces you.” The Sculptural Formwork collection defies the ordinary. Unexpected geometry and the transition of the planes create a subtle but warm expression. And the Waterworks Stratum collection was designed along to create elements of texture to the bath.

Signal Series

Reminiscent of the maritime warning lights used in lighthouses, Signal lanterns are a contemporary take characterized by clean mechanical lines and simple geometries.
